This 1 1/2" bronze medal is a historic German commemorative piece celebrating the centennial anniversary of the birth of Carl Hagenbeck. The African elephant trio directly honors his legacy as a revolutionary figure in wildlife exhibition and zoo design.
The medal has been bezel wrapped in fine silver and suspended from a 19" necklace of hand-knotted white freshwater pearls.
