Best Friend Button Horse Necklace

Vintage buttons such as this once graced the front or cuff of bespoke hacking, shooting and hunting jackets. The detail and relief in these buttons which date back to the early 1900's is impossible to find in modern buttons. This lovely large example features a beautiful older horse looking over a fence in a bucolic setting. It is being offered in both a brass and sterling silver version which have been reproduced from the original button using the lost wax casting method. These large 1 1/2" buttons have been prong set in sterling silver and suspended from an 18 1/2" necklace of offset knotted cord punctuated with white Swarovski pearls or pale green amazonite.
