This is a stunning vintage prize medal from the Kynologenvereeniging Tilburg (Tilburg Kennel Club) in the Netherlands. Dated July 27, 1930, this remarkable 1 1/2" bronze medal features a stunning hound head in profile. The subtlety and detail in this design is hard to find. The medal has been prong set in sterling silver and suspended from an 18" necklace of hand knotted grey freshwater pearls. The closure of this necklace consists of a crocheted loop of cord which slips over a pearl end piece.
