This beautiful piece is a 1924 Jubilee dog show medal issued by the Kynologen-Club Rotterdam (Rotterdam Kennel Club). Dated May 29, 1924 this remarkable 1 3/8" bronze medal features the portrait of a wire-haired dog breed—highly characteristic of a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon or a German Wirehaired Pointer. The subtlety and detail in this design is hard to find. The medal has been prong set in bronze and suspended from an 18" necklace of hand knotted grey freshwater pearls. The closure of this necklace consists of a crocheted loop of cord which slips over a pearl end piece.

Jewelry Care
If you wear your jewelry on a regular basis; simply polishing regularly with a soft cloth will keep it looking its best. If your jewelry does tarnish, we recommend Sunshine Polishing Cloths which can be purchased on Amazon. These cloths will remove tarnish from sterling and bronze easily and quickly. Simply rub your jewelry with the cloth and voila, tarnish is gone. Once the cloth blackens all over, it's time to use a new one.
